Payroll revision: Ontario Surtax is eliminated Please note that the LANKAR update 11.08.02 previously published, included changes for Ontario based on the Ontario budget as proposed on March 28, 2018. Senior Ontario officials have informed us that the incoming government of Ontario has confirmed that it does not intend to proceed with the changes to the Ontario personal income tax rates, brackets and surtax that were presented in the 2018 Ontario Budget. The guides have therefore been revised to exclude these changes.
