The data transfer procedure is available to LANKAR users as part of the initial installation process. During this installation, the customer will be prompted to select an option of transferring data from their existing LANKAR.

  • Data transfer is only possible from LANKAR version 10.00.20
  • Transfering data should always be done on the server or server designated computer
  • Prior to staring data transferring, please make sure that the original LANKAR program is closed and all of the users are logged out
Once the data transfer utility is launched, select your source database(LANKAR 10.00.20) and click transfer. The data transfer utility may generate some critical exceptions that will require further assistance from a LANKAR support engineer.

Please Note: Upon successfully installing LANKAR 11, your original LANKAR will no longer be accessible.

LANKAR now uses one shared folder to store all shared items. (Inspection sheets, WO Images, etc.)
The location of this folder is stored in the database, and only needs to be set once.
If the shop is a single user, simply point to the LANKAR install folder. For multi-user environments, first, make sure the LANKAR folder is shared (LANKARSERVER is the name deployment package will share it under),
second, browse and select the LANKAR folder using the UNC path. Do not use mapped drives, as the path will be the same on all machines.
Note: If the shared path is set to "C:\", LANKAR will write and read all shared items on the "C:\" drive of each machine, resulting in inconsistent data.
The installer will share the folder automatically.
